Started appeal process after PIP Review Decision and Mandatory Reconsideration both 0 points. On Saturday I received DWP letter – “About your PIP appeal – we can change your award”. The offer - Standard Mobility in return for giving up on my appeal within the week. I have never been granted PIP mobility, only getting 4 points for it in the past. (I have received Standard Living in the past.)
Is it correct that I could take this offer of PIP mobility, but start the Appeals process again. (Even though the DWP imply you cannot.) If so, which form should I ask for and do I mention the offer?
Yes, you can accept the DWP offer and then request a new appeal, I would wait for the Mobility component to be put into payment before doing so.
Your request would again be made on an SSCS1, there's no need for you to mention the DWP's offer unless you believe that it would help you with being awarded the Daily Living component.
