We were quoting ten weeks but some areas are back down to 3-4 weeks.

I am in the same situation now having just received a letter for PIP transfer. I have been cleared by my GP and DWP for a home assessment for ESA due to my CFS/ME and neurological issues ...this was agreed last July( and still no date for a medical).
I have been told by someone that it is not possible to get a home assessment agreed this year even if you have a fluctuating health condition. Is this true? Would you suggest applying with GP for a home assessment for the PIP assessment anyway if it is hard to get out most days?
Finally do you know whether the DWP ever agrees to a PIP transfer from DLA on paper without a medical if you have copious letters from Neurologists etc? I am dreading visits from people who may not understand my conditions.. Thanks. Ostia

I've moved your post to its own topic, we ask members not to post their questions in other member's topics as it can lead to the wrong advice being given or taken.

I am not aware of any changes to the criteria used by Maximus in deciding whether to allow a home assessment or not.

It is possible for a Paper Based Review to be done on a transfer but there would need to be compelling medical evidence supporting an award and I will be honest and say that this is unlikely to be the case for ME/CFS.

Thanks Gordon. I am still hopeful as I have complex mental health issues too plus neurological problems and brain damage identified on scans. I am sending them all the letters from Neurology and Neuropsychology which shows sadly that my concentration and cognitive skills are not what they were.
