Hi, I am asking for my ex-partner, who is in the process of being diagnosed with possible Aspergers. I understand those over 65 cannot claim PIP, is there any other benefit available for her to claim? She is unable to communicate well with people, so is practically a recluse due to her condition. Thank you if anyone can advise.

In case it makes a difference it is now 65 or State Retirement Age, whichever is the higher.

If they can't claim PIP then they can claim Attendance Allowance, the criteria is the same as DLA with the exception that there is no Mobility component available.
