Face to face was created by ALLISON
I have just started the process of transferring from DLA to PIP. I am waiting for my forms to arrive. What is worrying me is that I am going on holiday for just over 3 weeks at the end of summer and what would happen if the appointment for face to face arrives while I am away and I miss it? Is it best to contact them to let them know I will be away? If it arrives and it is for when I am away can I defer it for length of holiday?

Hi A

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

When you complete your form there is a section asking if there are any dates when you are not available for assessment. Put the dates of your holiday in there (adding a day before and a day after), and you should not receive an assessment during that time. It's very common for people to do this. You don't have to explain why you're not available.

My PIP forms have just arrived but there is nowhere on the forms to put dates not available for face to face. There is just a space to put any help you may need at a face to face. Will I get something from the people carrying out face to face separate and I put it on there?

Hi Alison

Put it in question 15 - additional information or on a separate sheet if you fill up that box
