I have now reached pension age since sending my DLA to PiP application in I have a lifetime award of DLA do I still have to go for the Assesment?

I'm afraid your reaching Pension Age is not relevant, now that you have been invited to claim PIP you cannot retain your DLA award and must attend the assessment or both your DLA and PIP claims will be closed for failing to attend.
