pip affect on esa was created by DC
hi, i have recently been moved up to the enhanced higher rate PIP Living backdated to last summer. Will this increase or decrease my ESA? Ive been on hold for 45 minutes on the phone to ESA they demand you tell them any change of circumstances but dont even answer my calls. do you advise i write to them or will PIP notify them

If you are in the ESA WRAG then your Enhanced DL award means that you become entitled to the Enhanced Disability Premium if you are receiving Income Related ESA. If you are in the SG then you will already be receiving this.
The PIP Department should contact the ESA one but this does not remove your responsibility to contact them. You can always send them a letter.

i am in the support group not the WRAG Gordon & in the sopport group. Its impossible to ring them to report it,

Hi DC
You may be eligible for the SDP but this would depend on your circumstances such as:
1) do you live alone if you dont does your partner receive PIP daily living or DLA care middle rate?
2) does anyone claim CA for looking after you?
I usually find it easier to get through either first thing in the morning or late afternoon.

yes i live alone & my parents visit regular to clean & cook & ensure im ok after a previous suicide attempt but they are not claiming carers allowance

Hi DC
If you are unable to get through by phone to ESA enquiry line (0800 169 0310) then send them a letter informing them that you have been awarded PIP daily living from .... and ask if you should get SDP with your ESA from the date of PIP award as you meet the criteria.
Get proof of posting when sending any letters to DWP.
