DLA - PIP ?? was created by apples6
HI All Re PIP and the " invite" to give up DLA
Wishing it is ok to add in fact a Question here? I was going to put for to Moderators please:
I think it is PIP 1 and I think I maybe saw a "sample one" somewhere and
I thought it said and/or I was also told (forgotten by whom)
that there is a question along the lines of:
"Will you or can we "check(up) on your previous DLA "
Mine was some years ago:
So my thought processes is have they deleted the DLA paperwork of years ago?
and or is is due to some GDPR Data Protection updates that came into force last year?
If/when I am "invited" I would not be concerned for the checking up of DLA also it was years ago and I like all have got older.
I still was wondering why DWP would want do that ? as though I have seen I think on here there are similarities DLA and PIp there are differences.
My Q part here is Why would DWP want to look again at stuff from a good number of years ago in relation to PIP transfers?
thank you in anticipation

I've moved your post to its own topic, we ask members not to post their questions in other member's topics as it can lead to the wrong advice being given or taken.
The answer is that they don't want to look at the claimant's previous DLA evidence, the question is about whether the claimant wants them to or not.

Thanks Gordon and Apologies
I riposted to also :
I am still though confused as to Why the DWP DLA would be looking DLA at for the purpose of going over to PIP? Surely they are not using DLA from x years ago and for a different benefit
which PIP is?
I am foxed on that one thanks if you can clear it up please
thanks if you can help me on that

You are confusing the issue, as I said the DWP have no interest in looking at the claimants old DLA evidence, it is the claimant that wants them to.
