Hi, I live with my Mum who is 91 yrs old and she would like to provide me with a supporting letter for my DLA to PIP transfer. My Mum has limited movement in her hands due to Arthritis. Would it be possible for my Sister-In-Law to type up what my Mum has to say about me and my issues on a day to day basis(she knows me best having to live with me) and then my Mum just signs the document? Would this be acceptable to the Health Professional and the DWP? Thank you for any advice. Kindest Regards, Rob.
It's perfectly acceptable for your sister-in-law to write the letter and then have your mum sign it.
If you're concerned about it - you can always have at the end. "Dictated by: (your mum's name and signature) Typed by: (Your sister-in-law's name and signature).
