Hi everyone,
I have been a state pensioner for almost 10 years. I was moved from DLA (indefinite award high rate for both components) to PIP after f2f in June 2017 (high rate mobility and standard care) My PIP award was for 3 years, so has an end date of June 2020 (am looking forward to that miracle cure for a progressive disease!)
My question is , will I receive a letter from DWP stating that I will now be included in the Light Touch 10 year review? My award letter states an end date so I’m wondering what will happen re my Motability car if I haven’t got the appropriate paperwork from DWP? I haven’t received a letter of reassessment from DWP as yet.
Thankyou in advance of any thoughts or advice

Hi Bellaboo

I moved your post to one of its own.

Because this has just been announced, the fact is no one knows exactly what is going to happen. Because you have an end date to your award you are likely to hear from the DWP six months before and then it will be clear if you are being given the light touch review. As yet we have no information on how exactly the DWP are going to interpret the meaning of the light touch review.

I have just received enhanced for both, I asked DWP what light touch meant, their reply was, you won't be reassessed for at least 10 years or in fact if ever. If you are it will be us just looking at your forms and HCP reports.
