Tribunal letter error was created by mosala
I've just sent my tribunal request for PIP. The letter they sent me to confirm receipt, says in the heading - Your PIP New Claim appeal.

My claim is not 'new'. It is as a result of a re-assessment. I have had my condition and DLA/PIP for over 20 years.

Is it in their interests to put 'new' claim? Does it matter?

I phoned to tell them. Shall I bother to put it in writing?

The Tribunal Service is independent so they have no interest in whether this is in regard to a new claim or an existing one.

However, it is in your interest to correct the error, contact the TS.

To Mosala, From Cruella

Sorry to see your PIP struggle, I could not believe it, especially as I am very similar to you.

I am in the process of my PIP, do you mind me asking if you concluded that not going out due to OCD triggers along route, to be best matched to
e)cannot undertake any journey as it would cause opd
or
f)cannot follow the route of a familiar journey

Don t worry if you are too stressed by it all to answer, I understand

Hello Cruella, Nice to hear from you, but sorry you are struggling as well. I understood (e) to mean that you 'never' go out. I do go out on average once a week, sometimes twice and rarely 3 times a week, because it is so stressfull being there and also difficult to find time/energy to go out..

So I chose (f) because I need someone with me to help me to avoid overwhelming P distress by looking out for my triggers.

However, they would not award me high rate mobility nevertheless. If feeling suidal when I encounter my triggers is not OPD I don't know what is!

After a fight (starting from 0 points) I now have standard DL. I threatened Tribunal and yesterday DWP phoned to offer me standard mobility! I have to decide whether to accept it or to still go to tribunal. CAB think I have a strong case for high rates of both!

Good luck. :)

Cruella - also to say that (e) I think is more for someone who maybe has agoraphobia, so the distress is already there before they go out and that distress stops them from even leaving the house. Whereas with me (and you I think) it is about the trigger upsetting us whilst we are out and therefore we need someone whilst we are out and about to help us. Hope this helps.
