My son recently won his PIP tribunal. (thanks for the help from the guidance) The award was made for 4 years (confirmed in writing by tribunals service) Today received the DWP confirmation and they have shortened the award by 4 months. Can they do this? How difficult is it to challenge this? many thanks
No, they can't unless there was an error in the Tribunal's Decision Notice, the award length is part of the Decision so the DWP do not get to modify what the panel decided.
I would start by contacting the DWP for an explanation of the change.
