Hi, I am currently on DLA lowest rates, and am awaiting a decision on PIP. I’ve been waiting for 6 weeks now, but I understand that there is a longer wait than the 6 weeks I was told. My concern is that because I was only awarded the low rates of DLA, I won’t be awarded pip because they only have middle and high rates. Has anyone else experienced this?
The criteria for PIP is stricter than DLA but it is also very different so it's impossible to draw conclusions from one award to the other, certainly, there being no "lower" award does not mean that you cannot be awarded PIP.
