PIP Claim drug use was created by Sakura
After some advice from friends and family, I was advised not to mention using cannabis to self medicate. I currently do not take any other medication as I find it's both more effective and with less side effects. People here are a lot more informed and so I'd like to ask here. Should I leave the medication section blank or mention it? What are peoples experiences with similar issues? Can anyone guess at how it will affect the decision.

I have yet to send the form back and have till the 25th Aug.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Sakura

It's up to you what you say on the form and as you are speaking of a substance that is currently illegal it would be wrong for us to comment.

Are you referring to smoking joints? Or to using CBD oil?

The first is illegal, as BIS mentions, and potentially puts you up the creek without a paddle.

The second is perfectly legal and increasingly gaining public and medical acceptance. However the government are the last people to be appreciative of this.

What condition are you using it for?

Parkinson’s? Multiple Sclerosis? Pain?

Some may be viewed more sympathetically than others but do bear in mind the basic fact that this whole process is a nightmare when everything is medically belt and braced. Is there a nurse or other professional who can verify your medical use?

It’s your call but I wouldn’t.

Hi guys

I think enough has been said on this subject in a public forum.
