Hello I have recently submitted my form for PIP (how your disability affects you) and today I have received a letter from 'Independent Assessment Services' stating "One of our health professionals has looked at the information you sent DWP. We're writing to let you know that we have asked for further information from people involved in your treatment or care...........Once we've got the further information we've asked for, our health professional may be able to finish your assessment report for DWP without having to see you in person. But if we don't get this information, or we still have questions, we may need to see you for a face to face consultation."
Has anyone received a letter like this? I supplied 27 extra pages of information, My GP wrote a 10 page supporting letter following the template from this website. My Psychiatrist also provided a 5 page reference letter. My carers provided two, 3 page letters.
I am not sure what other information they could possibly give as my support letters were very thorough.
Any feedback would be much appreciated at this highly anxious time.
This is a standard letter that some people receive and there must be something that the Health Professional wants to clarify. It sounds threatening but I wouldn't read it like that.
I'm afraid you will have to wait for the outcome and hopefully they will get the information they want and you won't need a face to face.
