Blue badge renewal was created by SteveW1
Hi there

I was given PIP for three years and it ends in March 2020.My condition has not changed and on that date I will be a pensioner. I have read that people in my situation will be subject to a 'light touch process' and I will have my PIP extended for a further few years.

Does anyone know if this is correct and if so, how will people im my situation know how long I will get my PIP for, so I can tell the Blue Badge people when I apply for a new badge?

Steve

Hi Stevieboy

The light touch review was only announced earlier this year, but the DWP has yet to give an announcement of what this means, so at this stage, it is impossible for us to say. If you do get a light touch review you would still receive a notice each year as you do now confirming your PIP award which you would be able to use to apply for your blue badge.
