Is your son attending? If not, have you informed the Court of this?

If he is, then the panel is going to direct most of their questions at him so have you sat down with him to talk about this and the basis of his claim?

There are three persons on a PIP panel; a Judge who is in charge of the hearing, a doctor and a layperson with experience of disability issues. Most of the questions will come from the doctor, followed by the layperson. The Judge will keep a record of the proceedings.

They are going to ask him about his problems with completing the PIP activities, how and when he is affected.

I wasn't sure if he had to attend he doesn't speak to good and is hard to understand but I will take him if needed. The pip assessor lied about everything it was a fairy story even the amount of time she spent at my house was a lie

If he is not attending then you need to get permission from the Judge in charge of his appeal in advance.

A positive award will only be made by your showing that he meets the criteria for one, whilst I'm not suggesting that you ignore the problems with the report but calling the assessor a liar will almost certainly alienate the panel.

If you do need to deal with issues then counter what was written by reference to the evidence you submitted to show the assessor's opinions are unreliable.

The assessor said on her report she examined my son got him to do tests said he was able to do own meals etc. but all she done was sat on settee and asked few questions. I was really angry when I got her report.
