Hi guys I had my PIP face to face ass yesterday and I found out that the person assessing you is not just logging your answers to their questions they also have full access to all your PIP application forms and communications from health care etc etc and they can see what you wrote on your fom when they ask you the questions and their report is based on them copying and pasting what they deam as relevant...........personally im mortafied .your thoughts please?

Hi Tricia

In order for the assessor to complete their report for the Decision Maker they need to access your form and any additional evidence you have sent in. If they did not look at it, they would not get a whole picture of you. Part of the assessment process is to clarify what you said and to make observations. This should not unduly worry you. It is the norm and what happens to anyone who has a face to face assessment.

We've also found a lot of copy and pasting from one question to the next in the final report which is pretty annoying when you have went to so much trouble giving full responses to each question for most of it to not be mentioned and there for none existent as far as the DM is concerned.

As far as them having access to your PIP claim and evidence supplied by you and/or your GP, I wouldn't be concerned about this as it can only be of benefit to you, a lot of people seem to have the opposite problem in that the HCP doesn't have access to such things (of course if the medical reports contradict what you have said in the forms then this is more of a worry).
