Q4 and not being able to eat out was created by lucy
I have a fear of choking and avoid eating outside my home because of it (I don't know exactly why, but eating in restaurants etc makes it worse). Could that mean I can't take nutrition reliably?

Hi Lucy

It is up to you whether you mention it or not, but as you imply it is an issue that occurs outside of your home, it is likely to be judged that is not something you are forced to do. Also you would have to prove that this happens to you on the majority of days which it doesn't because you avoid eating out. The aim of the question is to understand whether you can get enough nutrition to be healthy with help or without it and if you can't what mental or physical conditions are inhibiting that.

Lucy,

You may have trouble with this.

My husband has Parkinson’s and choking is a constant, actual risk and something he receives ongoing therapy for and absolutely no heed has been paid to this in his assessment despite my detailed explanation and a medical letter of support. I’m waiting on the DWP to consider this point but they have very poor understanding. Given that actual choking is a risk and is defined as such in their own guidance but is still ignored, I doubt you’ll have much luck getting any points for this.

I think the question is more aimed at eating in the house not going out for meals.
