Hi,I have spastic depligia, have difficulty walking and I currently receive ESA and DLA mobility component.I have just been granted a free disabled bus pass. What I would like to know is will (if I use this) affect my entitlement to my above benefits and are the DWP notified when someone is granted a disabled bus pass.I am asking as when you are called in for a WCA I hear that it is better to attend by taxi than public transport.Thank you.
A free disabled bus pass has nothing to do with your benefits and will not affect them.
The reason why some people would suggest you attend a WCA by taxi is there can be assumptions made about your ability to walk and travel if you attend by public transport - but this is a personal choice.
