Can I ask for more time was created by Winston1968
I had the letter to apply to move from DLA to PIP and I had to do it by the 30th August.
I was going about to on holiday with family and were not going to be back until the 28th.
So I called them before I left which was 10 days before and started the process they said that I would receive the form in 7_10 days so I thought ok so it should arrive just as I return home. My daughter informed me when I got home that it arrived with in a couple of days and it has left me with just just a couple of weeks to fill it all out and return it I am a wreak right now I just don't know how I am going to be able to get all the information they require and supporting evidence within 2 weeks can I call them and ask for more time?

Hi Winston1968

Just ring the DWP (same number as before) and ask them for a two-week extension - which they will grant. You don't have to explain why - just say you need more time to complete the form. Lots of people do it.
