OH WELL Got the letter this morning DLA TO PIPS my husband scored a total of 4 points and the DLA stops as of the 1st October everything carers allowance so now on the phone logging an MR and a copy of the report.
I wonder how long this is going to take for this to be sorted out has anyone got any ideas on the time scale.
Thank you

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Jacqui
I'm sorry you received a disappointing result. You have already set the MR in motion. It normally takes 4 - 6 weeks. When you receive the assessment report - do go through it carefully to see where you think he should have scored points and he didn't. There may well be things in the report that are wrong or you disagree with, but focus on the PIP criteria and don't get bogged down in tackling issues that won't score your husband points.
Obviously, if that is not successful then if you choose it's on to an appeal which are taking anything from 45 - 52 weeks.
Come back if you have any questions about your MR.

Currently during the call to DWP they are quoting 10 to 12 weeks for The MR process.
