Hello my husband who is 66 has been asked to apply to move over to PIP after having a lifetime DLA award. We sent the form in on 14th July 19 can anyone advise me how long we are lightly to wait to hear back from them. My husband had a text on 16th July to say they had received his claim.

I would have expected you to have heard by now about whether a face to face assessment is required, you might want to contact the Assessment Provider for your postcode for an update. See

Wow I sent my forms back at the beginning of august, im transferring from dla too. I received a message saying they had received them on 6th august and I thought I had been waiting a long time to hear. Id be interested what the average time is for a response. Does the longer you wait mean there is more of a likelihood of having an assessment or can you not really tell?

The wait time is for your file to get to the top of the pile so it is totally independent of whether a face to face is required or not.
