Phoned for pip assessment report was created by Shellyj79
Hi everyone I finally bit the bullet and called for my pip assessment report 6 weeks to the day after my f2f, I was told by the call handler that no decision has been made and that its not even been looked at yet and decisions are taking 10-12 weeks, but the thing that has confused me the most is she was trying to put me off having a copy of the report, she said that anything in it isn't a final decision and that it can be changed and sent back to the assessment provider and the dm can go against anything in it,she then asked me again do I want it sent and I replied yes please, am I being completely paranoid in thinking that I don't have any points and this is why she was trying to put me off.

I'm afraid we cannot really say, everything they said was technically correct although only a few claims are affected in this way.

If the report's recommendation is not what you hoped for then there may be an opportunity for you to write to the DM with your concerns, although you will have to be quick.

Thank you Gordon, fingers crossed the report will be here by the end of this week beginning of next and at least I'll know where I stand, I'm no stranger to having to go to tribunal I have done for esa, industrial injuries and in my changeover from dla to pip so I'm fully prepared to take it all the way again if necessary.

In my experience I was fobbed off, was sent the wrong paperwork, had to request the report multiple times (and apply pressure.. eg asking persons name and centre they work in) before it was actually sent.

My guess is some call handlers just don't like claimants to have access to these documents, either because they don't want to upset claimants, or more likely because the reports can be insightful to the claimant and encourage them to take the reconsideration and appeal route and presumably they have to log who sends out the reports? Just speculating I'm afraid, but I have seen the obfuscation.

So I received my assessment report today, and it was exactly what I expected 0 points award on anything, and yet again another report full of lies, so it's time to start preparing my mandatory reconsideration ready for when the decision letter finally drops through the letterbox, part of me is gutted I'm going through this again and the other part of me is not surprised at all.
