Carers Credit towards Pension was created by black2cat
Hi,
Please would you kindly tell me if making a claim for Carer's Credit claim form (CC1) Credits towards my pension would trigger a benefits for review for my husband.

I am not working and do claim any benefits and I am a full time carer.

My husband gets PIP both at the high rate and ESA Support group.
The form asks does the person your caring for receive PIP.

Usually any slight changes in applying for benefits, often results in review across all claims.

I know some people have been dragged into Jobcentre plus, for claiming just the carers credit part, as they would like to know why they cannot work - even part time.

Thank you for reading.

Are you sure that it is Carers Credit that you want to claim and not Carers Allowance?

Claiming either of these benefits should not result in your husband's benefits being reassessed.

If you claim Carer's Credit then there will be no impact on his benefits.

If you claim Carers Allowance then his ESA may be increased as a result.
