Hello all. Out of the blue I have received a letter from Dis Ben Centre saying they will visit to "help you fill out a form". They're asking for a mountain of info I have little chance of finding in time. Surely I should have been sent an ESA50 as normal?
Q1 Is this a formal medical Q2 What happens if I cant produce what they require Q3 My conditions are "chronic" and I haven't seen my DR in yrs. I have been in SG since 1990s
It actually sounds more like a review of your benefits to make sure that you are receiving the right amount.
Q1. The DWP does not do the medicals that is why I think it is a benefit review rather than an assessment.
Q2. Your ESA could be suspended but I think that this is a very unlikely scenario.
Q3. This should not be an issue. if you were on Incapacity Benefit (ESA did not come in until 2008) then this would support the benefits review as well, it is possible that you have been underpaid.
