Preparing Food Descriptor Advice Please was created by rjstone
I see my consultant every 3 months with diagnosis Agoraphobia with Panic Disorder and Bipolar. Regular daily Meds include Quetiapine 400mg, diazepam 15mg, carbamazepine 200mg which leave me sedated most of the time. Latest care plan states currently severe depression with suicidal thoughts.
I have never cooked a full meal in my life and would not know where to start. I rely on food being delivered in take away tubs from a friend which i reheat and also sandwiches, cereals toast etc.
My mandatory reconsideration states i appeared to be mildly depressed during my consultation. I did not have a consultation. Everything to do with PIP has been paper based due to my consultant confirming OPD over the phone.
I was awarded 11 points and the same at mandatory reconsideration. My mandatory reconsideration also states i could cook a simple meal with prompting.
I have asked citizens advice and they agree and say its not worth appealing?
Please advise if its worth appealing.
I am very annoyed at the lies around being mildly depressed at the consultation when i did not have a consultation. They only have a care plan which states severe depression

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi 0-0
I cannot tell you what you should do, but the only reason for appealing is if you are hoping to have your scores increased. Then you have to weigh up whether it is worth the stress and whether you think you have a good chance of success. You need to go through the report in detail again and see where you can challenge assumptions and mistakes. You may believe it is worth it as I assume you would go for a paper-based tribunal but obviously you still have to prepare your case.
If you don't think your scores would change then you could always make a complaint at the inaccuracies or you could live with it.
