Pip assessment cancelled was created by Didan69
Hello I am waiting for a pip assessment to be done at my home. It has been cancelled twice. Am I right to be conserned that they are stalling it or is it common practice.
Also am I allowed to record the interview as when had the original dla assessment the health professional lied as soon as they entered.
Many thanks x

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi D Saunders
Other people have had more than one home visit canceled. I think this is normally down to a shortage of assessors, but it is very stressful to you.
You are able to record the assessment. You must do two simultaneous recordings and you should use unopened cds or tapes and open them in the presence of the assessor. You have to inform them 48hrs before the assessment that you wish to record the assessment.

Mine was cancelled 8 or 9 times over a five month period. It was very stressful, especially as I had already done a face to face, but ATOS lost all the notes and wanted me to do another. The DWP explained this away by saying mine was an audit of the interview!!
Best wishes
Cat
PS the longer you can keep your DLA, the better, in my opinion. I lost my lifetime award of DLA transitioning to PIP and am now going to tribunal.
