DLA to PIP Home assesment was created by dexyblue
I have my assesment in the morning, well in 8 hours time, I cant sleep for worrying. I am 65 and was awarded higher rate mobility and low rate care in 1995 after an accident at work for life. Obviously since then with age my condition has got no better and never will. I am worried sick as to what they will say to me and my anxiety has through the roof. Anyone know what they will say or do

Hi, Well the hcp came dead on 9am and stayed for an hour and a half and I felt absolutley drain when she went. I dont see how a nurse has the insight into complex conditions. I have sciatic nerve damage which is irreversable and am in constant pain as anyone whose had sciatica will know. Mental health problems too. How can they judge via a points system on a persons health

Hi Sue
I cannot give you an answer that will satisfy you. The system is the system and it is the one that everyone has to live with. I'm not saying it's right, but it's how people are currently judged.
If you wait 48 hours you can ring up the DWP and ask for a copy of the assessor's report if you wish to look at it before you receive the decision.
