Hi all.
Don't know if anyone can give me some advice.
In 2012 I was diagnosed with MS. In 2013 I suffered Epilepsy.
In 2014 I applied for PIP. I was awarded maximum points in both components.
I got my car under the motorbility scheme.
In 2015 I had my review. I was awarded 0 points in both components. Consequently my car was taken away in February 2017.
I did appeal this (after my mandatory reconsideration).
At the end of 2017, I was awarded 8 points for the daily living component and 4 points for mobility.
The assessor decided (lied) I could plan a journey, even though I had said I get very anxious and can't find my way out of a paper bag!
My mental state examination showed "adequate general memory and concentration"?????
Half of what was written was nowhere near what I'd said. I don't think it pays to look too healthy and act like you have some pride left.
I am also in the support group for ESA (with the disability component).
I was pensioned off in the NHS with a tier 2 ill health pension.
I have been debating with myself to get in touch with DWP as my condition has got worse after a couple of MS relapses.
I'm just scared in case they take away what I get..
This award goes on til August 2021.
Hope this hasn't sounded too "whingey".
Would really appreciate some feedback.

Hi Carole

You don't sound 'whingey' at all.

If you contact the DWP and tell them that your condition has deteriorated, then this is called 'a change of circumstances' and you will immediately be subject to a review. Obviously, as you have found out with a review, you may not be awarded the same as you were before. However, if you believe you have a good case to show that your condition has deteriorated and you are unable to do some of the tasks as set out in the PIP criteria then you might want to put in for a change of circumstances. Your other option is to wait until you are reviewed and report the deterioration then.

Hi BIS

Thank you for your reply.
I think I will look at the criteria and see what has changed from the original answers I put.

Will let you know what happens.

Thank you

Carole:)
