hello is there a certain age before you stop being sent for esa medicals, I thought it used to be 64yrs old. and is there a cut for medicals for pip. thank you. ???

It used to be DWP policy not to review claimants a year in advance of them reaching State Retirement Age, it is not defined in the legislation but over the last year or so we have seen a number of members invited, some as late as three months before SRA so you cannot rely on being left alone.

thank you Gordon,but as they say forewarned is forearmed, I was given 3 years in april 2019, I was 63 in june 2019 now my state pension will be 66, in june 2022, so I could fall into the 3 months before state pension age. will just have to wait and see. thanks again.
