Just about ready to send in the PIP form. Do you know how long it takes for them to access it or ask for a medical interview? I know somebody said that you should ring them after 2 weeks to make sure they have received it and always send it recorded delivery.

Definitely send it using a Tracked post if you can afford it, otherwise, get a Certificate of Posting.

I would call the DWP a couple of days after the form is supposed to have been received, I would not wait a couple of weeks, you might have to phone again but your calls should be take as confirmation that you have returned the form.

Thanks Gordon, I will call them. Do you know how long they take to make a decision on whether you need a medical assessment?

It will probably be 2-4 weeks to hear about whether a face to face is required, you can contact the Assessment Provider for your postcode for an update.

Hi Wing sent my husbands PIP form back in July, he has an at home assessment on Friday 1st November so it’s probably going to take a while. We sent his form in by special delivery and got a text the next day to say they had received it.

Thanks for replying. Wishing your husband all the best. I hope they don’t take that long to let you know the result of the assessment.
So I might be waiting till after Christmas. Well, they are still paying me
DLA so the longer the better I suppose.
