Weʼre raising £315 to PIP assessment recording kits to loan free to Claimants for their interviews.
We have raised funds for two pip assessment recording kits.
It has immediately become apparent that this is not enough.
Each kit costs £105 to put together comprises of 2 cassette recorders for blank cassette tapes and an extension lead in an aluminium case we have a technician supporting as who PAT tests these kits for us for free.
We estimate if we can have a total of 5 PIP assessment recording kits then we can adequately support claimants in our city.
This is because each claimant will need to hold their kits for a minimum of 3 days. The day before the assessment, the day of the assessment and the day after the assessment when it is returned.
If we are successful in adequately Supporting Sheffield Claimants we aim to roll this scheme out to other areas of the country.
We are well versed in in what types of equipment are allowed to be used by ATOS and Capita, and these recording kits have already been successfully used by claimants in our city.
