I am tankful for this website and all the people who comment on here. I scored daily living I scored 10 and mobility 10.
I’m thinking of asking for them to look at it again, I noticed that I scored 0 for managing treatments
But my husband gets my tablets ready for me and I have them put into days at the chemist and my husband tells me to take them as I have a bad memory due to my heart bypass I had a few years ago, anyhow am I right in saying if I were scored 2 points for that I would have got enhanced. Also I said I used to be able to walk 20 meters but now I cannot I have to keep sitting as the pains in my legs won’t let me walk far. Anyhow they said that I can walk 20 meters but no more then 50. I never said that. I’m so upset this has caused so much stress. Could somebody just comfirm am I right in thinking 2 more points and it would have been enhanced.

Hi hawaii58
You are correct, 12 points and over for enhanced and 8 points and over for standard.
You should contact the DWP for a copy of the assessment report if you have not already done so, I would phone them but again follow up the request in writing. Once you have the assessment report you will have a better understanding of how the DWP Decision Maker has come to their conclusions and will then be able to argue against them.
I know you are unsure whether you want the MR, but in case the assessor's report does not arrive quickly you could put in for one anyway and you can always withdraw if you want.
Your primary task is to show that you meet the criteria, there are many reasons you may have failed, you need to address each of these but don't get bogged down in criticising the assessment report unless you can clearly show that it is incorrect, it is a lot easier to argue the facts of the situation;
"the assessor recorded that I walked 50m, I did but they have failed to document that I had to stop every 10m for a rest due to breathlessness"
than their opinions
"based on my observations of the claimant walking I believe that they can reliably walk more than 200m.
When you have a better idea of the issues with your claim, come back to the forum and we will do our best to help.

Just to clarify, you can only be awarded one point, not two, for managing your medication so this will not enable you to reach the twelve required for an Enhanced award, you will need to find the two points from another activity.
