Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

You can write to the Minister for the Disabled, PIP falls under their brief but they are unlikely to do anything if you have not already exhausted the DWP's own complaints procedure and with the election less than two weeks away it is perfectly possible that the person may change.

Hi Gordon
Thank you for your reply. My aim really is to put pressure on the DWP. This lad's scheduled assessment is in 14 days time. So, I am trying to put pressure on the DWP with a view to them actually looking at this entire debacle and hopefully doing the right thing. That is complying withe the 2010 EA and agreeing to make reasonable adjustments by assessing the lad at his home or by doing a paper-based review.
Complaining to The Minister for Disabled People would not help me in relation to our particular circumstances. Obviously in the future this could be an avenue to go down to highlight failings.
So we will be making a complaint to DWP in this instance. But I am not sure where to write to and who to address the complaint to? It is such an opaque PIP system, unfortunately. I am worried that if the complaint was sent to the post handling site address where the claim was sent, it might be overlooked as a complaint and therefore not dealt with. As I say, it is only 14 days until the lad's rescheduled assessment.
Many thanks

Understand that the complaints process is separate from any claim process and with Christmas approaching there is every chance that it won't be considered before the assessment date even if you push the DWP.
