PIP Award was created by lou.q
For once I have not been dreading the brown envelope arriving. From change over from DLA to PIP 3 years ago which I lost all my awards but did get high rate mobility back on asking for mandatory reconsideration but lost my car before I got mobility rate back. I had to renew my claim again back in September. Got letter saying they did not want me to go for face to face even though my condition had changed considerably this last 3 years. I went on my bank account on Wednesday and I have been credited a PIP payment. I rang them and they said I had been awarded the enhanced rate for daily living and enhanced rate for mobility. I was in total shock because I never went for a face to face so this morning the what would have been the dreaded brown envelope arriving it was an enjoyment to open and see it in black and white plus my award does not need reviewing until August 2029.

So glad for you Lou q. Good to have peace of mind. If you don’t mind me asking, did you have to complete a review form before you received your award ?

Yes I did. It didn't have loads of questions unlike first one when changed from DLA to PIP. It did say if your condition hasn't changed then you would probably not have to go for a face to face. I wasn't going to put my condition hadn't changed just so I didn't have to go for the face to face. |My condition has drastically changed since last review 3 years ago. I got text to say they had all the relevant information and I would hear within 6 weeks. I submitted a recent GP's letter, up to date medication list and copy letters regarding lung CT scans. I couldn't believe I got both high rate awards just on evidence I submitted without having to go for face to face. Also I got Citizens Advice to fill the form in for me as I have trouble writing now. Feel free to ask me anything else.
