hi i am sorry to bother anyone again but i just have a few questions
on the medical assessment that i received who ticks the points score box and decided how many points you get ?
and in the reasons given on each question this is in nearly every answer ,reported difficulties with mental health and memory are inconsistent with mse which reports normal cognition, memory ,concentration and is well kempt and casually dressed
i only ask because online i was reading other peoples assessments and the same exact things are said , is mse the assessor and do they just give a report and someone else rights the justification it seems like 2 peoples input are in here
any advice is welcome best regrds

In this context "mse" stands for mental state examination although you may not have recognised one being done if indeed one was.

The report will have been written by the assessor that saw you, it is possible that a more senior assessor has also commented but it should be clear if this has happened. The report is not written by one person and the justification by another.

It is not unusual for assessors to copy/paste responses from one section to another.

The comment is saying that your reported mental health issues on the form are not consistent with what they say at the assessment, this is quite common as many assessors have, what I can only call a limited and naive view of mental health issues.

hi gordon thank you for your reply
it looks to me as the assessor wrote the findings but someone else wrote the descriptor choice
because the keep writing the words mso reports and inconsistent with the mso which reports adequate movements thats why i thought the dwp had put the descriptor choices in , if someone else did do this is it allowed because she is making judgement of one page describing my mood and movements ,, will the same person have done the activity descriptors ?

It would be extremely unusual for anybody else to be involved in the production of the report, I would expect the comments and the recommendation of Descriptors to have been done by the assessor that saw you.

I wish you could read it
It all sounds like it's 2 people , my wife agrees , if it was would I be able to complain , or how could I find out for sure , would it cause problems if it was written by someone else , that why I asked previously did the dwp write part after getting the assessors report

Hi Rince2028

You could never actually know for certain, because if you ask and you are told it was written by one person (as is the norm) then you are not likely to believe them as you are already convinced that it has been written by two people. Should you be told it was written by two people, then you are always at liberty to ask why and then put in a formal complaint saying that it has led to an unsatisfactory report. It's obviously up to you how much time you want to focus on this aspect of the report - but you also want to challenge the parts where you hope to get a higher award.
