Short notice F2F at home was created by MichelleJM
On the 31/10 I got a call telling me my F2F appointment was short notice and set for less than a week away. I refused that one, asking for a normal appointment and not a short notice one. Then last Monday I got a text saying my F2F was in one week at my home.
The letter didn’t arrive until Saturday, 2 days before the assessment.
Anyway, naturally I’m worried sick, I haven’t had time to read and digest the guide, I live alone except for the dogs and have no visitors, no help etc because there is no-one to help. So I’m worried the assessor will mark me down because I obviously have to care for myself.
The other thing is that as my conditions are long term, I don’t have any recent hospital letters for some things, but I do for others.
For example I had a new knee a year ago and it’s failed but under review. I’m hoping the pain and immobility in that knee will be fixed, but I’m waiting for an appointment. As it is today it’s worse than before the replacement.
I’ve just had a total spine MRI but it’s not been reported yet. The last time this was reviewed was about 5 years ago. I suppose I will have more info for an appeal, but I really want to settle this on Monday.

Hi MichelleJM

You can only give evidence that you have, and explain anything that is missing. Most assessors understand that. You need to be as open as you can about the difficulties you have in managing alone. I can't say don't worry - because it's natural to do so, but just be yourself. I hope it goes well for you.
