Refused further help from was created by Amis
I am on UC with limited capability for work since March this year. The only requirement they had of me was to try and build some routine into my day. But no-one has ever contacted me about this. In the meantime, my mental health condition has deteriorated.
I recently attended my first PIP assessment.
I was referred to IAPT, who assessed me and referred me to Specialist Therapies Team for a psychiatric assessment and long term therapy for attachment disorder (along with possible other disorders). I finally got a letter from Mental Health Team (in September) saying they did not offer therapy for "relational issues" and that since I'd had counselling in the past, maybe this wouldn't work for me. This has had a huge impact on my mental health.
I provided this new information at the PIP assessment. Should I let UC know this? Should I call them or add the letter to my journal? I believe I should be in the support group as I have been denied the support that was recommended I needed to improve. Or should I wait for the outcome of PIP before I do anything.
Grateful for any help.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I would wait for the PIP Decision so you can use the assessment report as evidence but you should first check that you now reasonably meet one of the LCWRA Descriptors, a deterioration in your conditions does not necessarily mean that you do, see our UC & ESA Claim guide for details of the criteria that you will need to meet.
Also, be aware that reporting a Change will result in a full reassessment of your LCW, a new UC50 and almost certainly a face to face assessment.
