started my pip claim in November 2018 gone through the appeals proses. now in to the tribunal stage. Phoned the court of appeal today November 2019 only to be told it could take up to 42 weeks for a date to be set. If this is true, it will have taken 2 years for my pip claim is this the normal time for a pip appeals.

Hi andypandy

I'm afraid there is no limit on the time it can take to go through the whole process. I know of someone who waited 59 weeks from the time their appeal was lodged and that was after 8 months going through the process up to the appeal. These things can be an unacceptably long wait. Sorry, I can't give you better news. 42- 45 weeks does seem to be the average around the country.

Hi andypandy

Unless you live in Derby in which case it is taking over 60 weeks for an appeal to be listed, as BIS has stated it does vary across the region, contact HMCTS and ask them how long for your area will it take to list an appeal.
