D

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

The PIP criteria is very different from that used for DLA so it is not impossible that someone would be able to move from LRC to an Enhanced Daily Living award but I think there will have had to be a deterioration in your conditions since you were awarded DLA.

Is there any reason that you are hoping for an Enhanced award as opposed to a Standard one?

Hi debbie

We cannot comment on whether it is fair or not as we have no knowledge of the person you are discussing. One thing we learnt at CAB when doing the training was to be no judgemental, there may be factors that you are not aware off even though you have known this person for a long time.

In answer to your question do we know any one to go from low rate DLA to enhanced PIP, I have come across many claimants, as Gordon has stated conditions can deteriorate over time, and not just physical conditions.
