Is it normal for the F2F centre to call was created by Esme999

Is it normal for the face to face centre to call on the morning of your appointment enquiring whether you will still be attending your given appointment?

I had a call yesterday afternoon, to confirm I would be attending, my appointment was 8.10am this morning.
