Severe disability premium

My friend contacted about sdp but they don't think she will be entitled to it when checking her dad dla he has only low rate care.but said if she lived on own she could apply.which she was thinking about moving out on her own preview sly. ..so if she did would this trigger universal credit.or claim sdp first before housing benefit..

She has put a claim in for sdp but dwp don't think she will get it because her father claims low rate care dla not middle..but she is on the housing list to move because of disability but I thinking could she claim sdp if she moves on her own..or will this mean she won't get it and have to apply for universal credit

Thank you so much for your reply.she has been offered a place on her own now.so is moving.but sdp isn't in place.because her dad was low rate dla.she is so confused what to do next.because doesn't want to trigger u c claim.so will she ring esa tell them change of address.then claim sdp.then apply for housing benefit.she is willing to pay the rent until her benefit sorted..
Any help would be appreciated..she is really suffering mentally at the minute after losing her mam and I try to help her as best I can.without causing more distress to her.
