Mandatory Reconsideration was created by wilton
Received award of standard rate pip for d/living and mobility.Phoned DWP to say i had received further evidence from my consultants which backs up my claim for enhanced awards. They instructed me to send them in and they will take another look.Called them today to enquire about any progress and was told it was being looked at by somebody as a mandatory reconsideration.I am a little confused as i did not ask for m/r at that stage just that i had further information.I have not had the opportunity to describe why i disagreed with the first assessment and the descriptors i disagreed with. Will i now have to wait in case it has to go to appeal to explain why i disagreed with HCP report in the first place as the month deadline to reply is up in 2 days. Please bear in mind i did not realise they had gone straight to M/R without my knowledge.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

You said that you wanted to explain why you disagreed with the Decision, this is the way to do that.
