ESA payment. was created by tia
Hi! I went to a WCA last week, and the lady said at the end she would award it to me. She said I would receive a letter in the next 2 weeks. If this is correct when would I receive my first payment? And how long is it backdated? Many thanks.

The assessor only makes a recommendation it is the DWP that will make the Decision based on all the information that they have, this should be 4-6 weeks.

Hi Gordon,
I've been reading about people being put on/getting "ESA assessment payment rates". Should/could I be getting that? I've just been receiving normal rate U.C so far.
Many Thanks.

If you are claiming UC then the ESA Assessment rate is not relevant to your claim.
