Pip and state pension was created by mab

This sounds an idiot question, but cannot source definite answer. If one gets PIP jjust before pension age, does PIP continue beyond receipt of pension, subject to them reviewing of course, thanks.

Yes, if you have a PIP award before you reach 65 or State Retirement Age, whichever is the later then it will continue past this date as long as continue to meet the criteria, and of course, subject to your award being renewed.
