I made a claim for PIP 14 months ago. I have fought relentlessly to try and get them to acknowledge my mental difficulties. I was awarded 10 points on daily living and 4 points on mobility (I have fibromyalgia, PTSD and recently diagnosed CTE). I am no longer able to work or drive.I am waiting for the tribunal hearing.
I have also made a formal complaint stating the ways in which they have breached my rights under the 2010 Equality Act. Yesterday the call handler at DWP told me my complaint was with the resolution team in Wales but could give me no contact details.
I am considering whether I should use a no win no fee solicitor but don't know what they could, in reality, do for me and what other people's experiences are.
Any thoughts would be very welcome.

Most claimants represent themselves at appeal, even where they are represented by someone other than a family member, it is most usually a salaried Welfare Rights worker, it is very unusual for a solicitor to be involved not least because Social Security law is s specialist area that most have no knowledge of.

So if you go down this route then make sure that you ensure that anyone you retain for your appeal has experience in this area and can provide you with references.

Fightback4Justice are certainly qualified in terms of benefit law. I'm not sure whether or not this would fall within their remit, but it's certainly worth asking.
