Hi I have my pip tribunal on Friday and I am terrified! I have fibromyalgia, anxiety and panic disorder. Can anyone give any advice at all ?? I originally scored zero points which I was appalled by! Hence why I have had to take it to appeal. Can anyone give their experiences please? Thanks

The following is a staged video of an ESA appeal hearing, I realise that yours if for PIP but procedurally they will be similar, the other difference is that there will be three panel members, the third is a layperson with experience of disability issues.

The questioning will be about your conditions and the resulting limitations that prevent you from reliably completing the PIP activities so make sure that you understand the criteria that you need to meet and can explain your problems in relevant terms.

The questioning will be robust but should not be confrontational, if you are having problems then tell the Judge.

Best of luck

Thanks for your reply.
I just hope I don’t loose all my words and can’t get across how it affects me. I suffer daily in so many areas and I just hope it is understand when I explain to them. I’m so anxious it’s making me more unwell. Is it quite common for people to receive zero points to then go on and win an appeal. Also are there many fibromyalgia sufferers that appeal on here ?

Sorry, just realised that I forgot to include the link for the video

MOJ Video of ESA Appeals Process and Tribunal

Remember, it is not the condition that the limitations that result will be looked at but we do have members who have appealed successfully with Fibromyalgia.
