PIP - dressing and undressing was created by Rebecca
Hi there.

I've FINALLY got my pip assessment on Friday having applied back in February! Just wanted to clarify now I'm making some notes for the assessor, would being unable to fasten a bra be considered as unable to dress top half? Or would you be expected to just put a t shirt on without one and that be acceptable? Apologies if this question causes embarrassment.

Thank you

Clothing has to be appropriate so you could argue that a bra is required but counter arguments might include; fastening the bra in a different way, for example on the front and then moving slipping it around your body, using an aid to fasten it and your wearing bras that do not require fastening, so you need to think about how you might counter these.

You will need to really think about how you answer that one Rebecca as the range of bras and fastening these days is so varied that it's not difficult to buy a bra that just slips over your head.

Thank you both for your help. I struggle with that range of movement full stop, it is a difficultly I have, I just didn't know if there was any weight to mentioning it. Thank you again
