Made MR by the skin of my teeth..or have I? was created by Carly
Date on pip refusal letter is 6th november!
I rang them just now (5th December) and stated I wished to Lodge an MR. She said she would log that and I have 28 days to get written MR to them and she suggested by recorded delivery (as I would have anyway) due to massive backlog!
I'm writing it now in the hope and thanks for your guidance that the mobility part (which is all I require on this discriminatory benefit) will get accepted My report is a joke (I can walk 200 metres unaided apparently!) But I will concentrate on meeting the descriptor requirements only and leave my personal feelings out of it!

Hi Carly
I would just drop a letter to the DWP confirming the conversation you had today and that you will be sending in an MR. (Always best to confirm conversations just in case they don't log them, or don't log them correctly).

Printed MR form yesterday, filled it in and sent guaranteed delivery today so I made the deadline! (Despite what DWP said about the further 28 days which i didn't believe!)
I just explained on the form that I did in fact fit the relevant descriptor (with my stick and stops before 50mtrs) and that a 10mtr walk to the examination room did not qualify the assessor to judge I could walk 2000 mtrs! I also stated that no examination was performed so the comment that my feet were flexible was incorrect as It is impossible to do so with the fusion and metal rods in place.
My surgical referral date (made long before my f2f) still hasn't arrived but I'll chase it up and send that in as further evidence when i get it.
