Sorry to make a bit of a meal of this but my brain isn’t working too well so I do struggle a bit with instructions.
I’ve just asked for the assessment report by phone and said that I’m going ask for the MRN which the lady registered. I explained that my decline letter was dated 02/12 and I received it on 07/12. We then have Christmas post and bank holidays which really restricts the time I have. She said now it’s registered I have more time. Is that right? I got a txt straight away acknowledging that I’ve asked them to look at it again and they will write to me. This should be within 10 weeks and I don’t need to contact them unless anything has changed.
So I now have a couple of questions. Do I need the assessment before I supply further information in writing regarding the MRN? Do I now have longer than a month from the date of their letter to supply further information or will they just look at my case, possibly before they hear from me, and make their decision based on the original assessment?
I hope this makes sense and sorry for being such a pain but struggling a bit.

Whether you intended to or not you appear to have started the MR process.
They appear to have given you four weeks to supply additional information but be aware that this includes postage time so Xmas and the New Year may get in the way of this. The MR may take longer but you cannot rely on this.
Ideally, you need the assessment report but the Decision Letter should allow you to start your response

Hello Gordon
Sorry, one last question for now, hopefully. I don’t necessarily have any extra evidence as you can’t get much better than the evidence I’ve already supplied. If I don’t have any extra evidence am I supposed to be listing now (and within 4 weeks) why I think each element of the decision isn’t a fair reflection?
I’m really struggling to follow the guides and I’m conscious that time is limited

You may have already explained adequately in the PIP2 form but yes, your MR needs to explain why you meet the criteria for an award and to deal with the issues raised by the report.
